Which
of your shower heads is the most powerful? Which one should I
buy?
It's really
a matter of personal preference. Are you looking for the most
pressure you can find in a standard-sized shower head? Then
the best-selling "Large Ultimate"
or the "Supreme" is the answer. Don't
mind the look of a small shower head? Then nothing beats the
"Ultimate" for pure pressure. Looking
for a "Rain" shower head? Our new "5.5"
Rain" has the best pressure we've ever found in
a rain shower head. Prefer to save a few bucks and still have
great pressure? Then the "Perfect"
is perfect for you. Looking for a hand-held shower head or massage
shower heads? We have what you're looking for:

By comparison,
most typical shower heads score between 50 and 70, and some as
low as 35.
The
key is that each of these shower heads is at the very top of
the range of what's currently available (and we've tested
dozens!). So order yours today! |

My
home has low water pressure. Will your shower heads help me?
(Alternatively, "I live in a high-rise
/ yacht / RV / mobile-home / etc. Will your shower heads help?")
Yes,
definitely. All of our high pressure models are great at making
the most of whatever water supply pressure is available. All our
models have been tested at very low pressures from 20 to 40 psi
and all feature excellent "flow efficiency" which is
a measure of how well the shower head will convert the pressure
and flow available into shower head pressure (see
TESTING). This is not to say, however, that you will be awestruck
by the pressure if your water supply is at only 20 - 40 psi (average
is 60 psi). What we're saying is that these heads can provide
a "decent" shower experience with a reasonable spray
in environments where other shower heads would be dribbling water
rather than spraying. (See
"Stream Integrity" in TESTING) A local water supply
pressure of 40 psi is considered very low, and the 20 psi that
we test at is extremely low - lower than any city water system
we've come across or heard of. It's important to note,
however, that many people that think they have very low water
pressure actually just have a lousy shower head and their pressure
isn't nearly as low as they expect.

|
| |
3. |
Which
shower head is best for a low pressure area?
All of our
High Pressure models offer outstanding "stream integrity"
at low pressures. This means that the pattern of the spray remains
consistent from normal pressures (around 60 psi) down to our extreme
20 psi torture test. As stated above, this doesn't mean the pressure
is unaffected, but the basic shape and trajectory of the stream
will remain intact at a pressure where most other shower heads
have quit "spraying" at all.
OK,
but which is the best?
The Ultimate,
the Large Ultimate and the Supreme
are the best for extremely low pressure. For any given pressure,
the Ultimate and the Supreme
offer the most powerful spray. Again, however, many people think
they have very low water pressure when they actually just have
a lousy shower head.

Do
you sell double shower heads? (Alternatively three-head shower
heads, five-head, etc)
No, we don't
at this time. Generally the best solution to the problem of a
weak shower head is not adding more shower heads. Dividing the
pressure available between multiple heads often exacerbates the
problem. We recommend replacing a poor shower head with one high-pressure
shower head rather than a system of several low pressure shower
heads. Furthermore, there is a practical issue with multiple shower
heads. While the concept of multiple heads sounds soothing and
is often marketed as "luxurious", in day-to-day use
many users complain that they no longer have a "dry zone"
to go to, to soap up, shampoo, wipe their eyes, etc. It's like
having leather seats in a convertible - it sounds good and it
looks good - until the first hot sunny day. Yeeowww! Sometimes
things that look good on paper aren't so good in practice.

5. |
What
should I look for in a shower head? What construction or features?
Obviously,
you can't tell by looking at a shower head if it will offer good
pressure. (See
TESTING) With experience, however, you can see some trends.
For example, shower heads with very large faces or large numbers
of streams generally offer lower pressure. Similarly, shower heads
with wide angles of dispersion also fare poorly. Both of these
problems boil down to physics - with a fixed water supply pressure
and a fixed flow rate, dividing the available flow into too many
streams or trying to cover too large an area just doesn't work
well.
Regarding
construction, look for a brass ball joint on fixed (non-handheld)
shower heads. This is the part that screws onto the shower arm
coming out of the wall and it controls the water flow as it enters
the shower head. All of our shower heads offer brass ball joints
for maximum reliability and long-life. Beware that many shower
heads on the market have chrome-plated plastic ball joints which
appear to be metal.

6. |
Are
your shower heads in stock?
Generally,
yes. We keep a large inventory on hand so that we can fulfill
orders promptly. We try to indicate any stock outages on the website
along with estimates of when orders will be filled.
|
|
| |
7. |
Are
your shower heads legal?
Yes, all our
shower heads meet the federal regulations, including the 2.5 gpm
flow standard.
We are always
in favor of the wise use of limited resources, including water.
We believe that there are smart ways to conserve resources. We
believe the first step towards responsible usage is to eliminate
waste. We think of "waste" as any use that provides
little reward. Letting the shower run for 10 minutes before getting
in is an example of waste. Letting the sink water run while shaving
is waste. Failing to fix a toilet that runs on is waste.

8. |
How
do I install a shower head?
It's generally
very easy to do, and there is a standard size of shower head mounting
so you can't get "the wrong size". Check out www.HowToInstallAShowerHead.com
for more info.
|
|
| |
9. |
Do
all shower heads have removable flow restrictors?
All of ours
do, but fewer and fewer on the market are removable and more convert
each year to be the non-removable type. Worse yet, many models
have simply replaced removable flow restrictors with non-removable
ones, rather than re-engineer the shower head for better performance
across a wide range of pressures.

I
don't have a credit card. Can I still buy a shower head?
Yes, but it
slows the process down significantly because we will wait for
your check to clear the bank. Email us if you are interested in
paying by check and we'll go over the details. Please do not send
us a check without e-mailing first: Support@HighPressureShowerheads.com

Are
transactions on your site secure?
Our transactions
are processed by PayPal but you do not need to have a PayPal account
to make a purchase. Their system is extremely reliable and secure
and we never see your credit card information. That's right -
we do not see your credit card number, billing address, etc.
So there is virtually no security risk from our side and from
the PayPal side they offer industry-leading security and fraud
prevention:
PayPal automatically
encrypts your personal information in transit from your computer
to their server using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL)
with an encryption key length of 128-bits. Their server checks
that you're using an approved browser—one that uses SSL
3.0 or higher.
Once your
information reaches them, it resides on a server that is heavily
protected. They maintain physical, electronic, and procedural
safeguards on your information.
Only authorized
PayPal employees are permitted to access customer information.
Authorized employees have been trained on how to handle information
properly and are subject to strict limitations and guidelines
in the handling of that information. Only a very small subset
of authorized PayPal employees is ever permitted to access customer
credit card or bank account numbers.

What
is your Privacy Policy?
It's pretty
simple - we don't share anything. Period. No "marketing partners",
no "affiliates".

13. |
How
did you get started selling shower heads?
Our founder
was living in a high-rise building and became frustrated with
the poor water pressure and the lack of good shower heads on the
market. After scouring the local stores, the search expanded to
the internet but the results were still poor. At some point the
search became a mission, and an idea for a business was born.
The premise: There must be legal, powerful shower heads
somewhere, and there must be people that would buy them!

Most orders
ship on or before the second business day after the order is placed.
(Please note that weekends and holidays are not counted as business
days)
|
|
| |
16. |
Can
I track my order?
Yes. After
your order ships you will receive an email with your tracking
info. You may track your order at USPS.com
Please note that USPS tracking sometimes indicates "shipping
label created" until the package is scanned by the destination
post office in your home town.
|
|
| |
17. |
What
is your return policy?
Orders may
be returned within 30 days of receipt for a refund (less shipping
charges). Returns require a Returned Merchandise Authorization
(RMA). To request an RMA, send an email to RMArequest@HighPressureShowerheads.com
and include "RMA" in the subject line. Please
remember that shower heads returned damaged or more than 30 days
after receipt will not be refunded. Also, shower heads are quite
durable generally, but their finish can be easily damaged if installed
with pliers or without a protective cloth. If you think you might
be returning your order, be sure to protect the finish when installing
or removing the shower head, particularly if you use pliers.
